Paul Frees’s Ludwig Von Drake . . . . . . what more do I need? I love his Ludwig so much better than Corey Burton’s. No offense to Corey Burton, of course, but his Ludwig is just lacking Paul Frees’s spontaneity (sorry for the lousy spelling)
Ludwig Von Drake animation ws some of the very most entertaining stuff those guys ever did. Not only is the character appealing and funny but the show was very enlightening. Paul Frees at his best. Was that Frank Thomas doing the animation?
Charleston charlie has a simularity to Helen Kanes son Hes So unusual, mabey the flapper whos performing has some simularitys but shes just a flapper its mainly the singing i think

What would Von Drake say about 80′s music?
September 3rd, 2010 at 12:44
Not really. It was the last year Walt Disney did, but Disney stills makes shorts.

Coolness.

Paul Frees also sang “Although I Dropped $100,000 in the Market, Baby, I Found a Million Dollars in Your Smile” for this short.

The singer in “Charleston Charlie” is modeled after a ’20s singer named Helen Kane. Not surprisingly, she was the inspiration for Betty Boop.

Just wonder because 1962 was the last year Disney made shorts.

It’s a Theatrical short Knoos.

Was this the Colorful World of Disney or a theatrical short?
