   @baybaygotgroove I will always love you is a MOVIE SOUNDTRACK same thing with MHWGO if that’s your arguments they are invalid,Mariah has plenty of memorable songs Hero,My All,One Sweet Day,We Belong Together,ect.Mariah doesn’t need a MOVIE SOUNDTRACK to make her songs memorable or popular.If that’s Whit’s only memorable song then so be it.

No one among those is to watch, specially not Britney, the little talent she had she lost it at 25 years old and now her career and presence is absolutely finished. Sometimes I just feel for her.     Yes, Whitney’s comeback was weak, but that one song will be remembered over anything Mariah has recorded. In fact, no other female singer has any song has legendary. The closest might be the Titanic song.

    I love Mariah, and I have all of her songs and CDs. But a fact is a fact.

    Album sales, correct. In terms of fame, Madonna and Whitney are a step ahead. Similar to MJ and Prince. All have been successful in film and music. They influenced generations.

    Mariah and Celine would come next. (If Mariah has a successful film where she is a lead, she could jump ahead of Celine.) I agree Janet, Britney, Beyonce, etc. would be below them. Of course, time could change all of this. In particular, Britney is one to watch. (Don’t like her music but she is super famous.)

    I´m an honest M Carey fan, a big one. She´s my fave these last years cos my other favs died or stopped releasing albums regularly. I have to say Whitney motherfucking Houston could have been the biggest of them all but her career ended too soon we know why. She clearly had the biggest sales per album from 1985 to 1995.I mean ever. Way above what Madonna averaged and what Mimi averaged. But the others (Madonna, Mimi and Celine) kept going,so their sales are similar overall.They are the top 4 ever

    No no no. If anything there´s madonna, Whitney, Mariah and Celine in the highest group (Madonna in the lead if u want). And then there´s Janet and Britney and others but far away. Those others are the biggest 4 by a big margin (and please everyone remember we are just talking about success-sales, not music or talent)
