: need helpp songwriting?
i love to sing and i want to be better, but i also play the piano and hopefully soon the guitar. I have like no problem doing all of this but I cant seem to write songs. I mean I write the odd few but they either go on and on and on or they dont sound right, stuff like that. What can I do? I really want to improve, is there anything I can do, or go to like places?

dont know if this is what your looking for but if you record yourself reading the lyrics then play it at a faster speed you can get a melody for your song from it,

Practice a lot. Start off by writing poems then put them to music, not all at once. If you can’t write poetry write some words that rhyme and see how it sounds.
